Your Sports Week in Review (Vikings Edition) #2

The Vikings love screwing up draft picks. This could probably be said for just about any NFL team, but the Vikings may have an argument for the top blunders in football history. 2003 set the bar as an all time Not Top 10 moment where the front office completely missed the draft slot and skipped the pick. If you ask a Vikings fan, this type of blunder happens every few years and we could even look into the last ten years and find some big misses such as Lewis Cine or my boy Sticks (Laquon Treadwell #11) but the subject of this article will be on our current first round pick, Caleb Banks.

The evidence suggests, to a lot of fans, that this pick will not amount to anything, at least for a first rounder. The fracture in the foot during the scouting combine (lest we forget this is the second foot injury in nine months)  is truly a tough look and we may have to wait till preseason to get a full grasp of what the Front Office was thinking when they picked him. I, however, choose to believe this kid is worth the first round pick and our days of Vikings blunders are over. I am truly delusional because why be so negative when we are in the offseason where we can present opinions as facts and no one can prove our opinions wrong? This will be an uphill battle for Caleb but let’s watch him prove the haters wrong
